As we’re coming up on November at such a rapid pace, we wanted to let you know that NOVEMBER is National Family Caregivers Month.
The Caregiver’s Voice recognizes caregivers, the silent heroes who provide comfort and care for our loved ones. Millions of caregivers worldwide provide quality care for loved ones, but their faces are unseen and their work goes unrecognized.
For our first Caregiver of the Month please scroll down our home page at:
ttp://www.TheCaregiversVoice.com to see June “Zoe” Kelly.
Nominations are open to family caregivers AND professionals each month. However, since November commemorates National Family Caregiver’s Month, we would like to feature a family caregiver.
Nominations will close October 20th for TCV’s Caregiver of the Month of November. Family, friends, and professionals are invited to nominate caregivers who should be recognized. Self-nominations welcome.
According to the National Alliance for Caregiving in 2009, more than 65 million people, 29% of the U.S. population, provide care for a chronically ill, disabled or aged family member or friend during any given year and spend an average of 20 hours per week providing care for their loved one. Who is your hero? Let your voice be heard today!
The Caregiver’s Voice (TCV), an independent voice for caregivers of brain-impaired adults, has had an online presence since 1998.
